Data Engineer Intern (Microsoft Stack) Join our collaborative Data and AI team, where every member's contributions are valued and visible. As a Data Engineer, you'll take on meaningful responsibilities that directly impact our projects and business at Cisive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to work hands-on with Microsoft's cloud-native data technologies, develop new skills in modern data platforms, and be recognized for their achievements. You'll be supported by experienced professionals and have opportunities to showcase your work in cutting-edge cloud environments.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency in modern coding practices, including Visual Studio Code, Git, and test frameworks (unit testing, regression testing, etc.).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, and/or other Microsoft Azure data services.
• Experience designing and implementing star schema data models.
• Experience with Databricks and Python
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Data and AI team to design and build data infrastructure, including ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and maintain data models, cloud data warehouses, and data lakes using Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure SQL Database
• Write and optimize T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions for data transformation and integration.
• Support data quality, governance, and security initiatives.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of data projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
