Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join our 1LMX Data & Analytics team to support our Transformation Program. Our 1LMX Transformation Program is changing how work is done at Lockheed Martin through system modernizations, consolidation of Business Area processes & practices and cutting-edge IT implementations and represents the second largest program in the history of all Lockheed Martin programs. As a member of the Space 1LMX Data & Analytics team, you will be focused on driving the implementation of services and tools, aligned to 1LMX common guidelines, which will be used throughout Space to execute on Space programs. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative IT Engineer to join our digital transformation family. This individual contributor will be responsible for supporting the team in diverse tasks supporting systems modernization, organization, and implementation of digital solutions. This is a full-time telecommuting position, where you can find the right balance which works for you!

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems or Software Engineering, or IT management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in SQL and Python
  • US Citizenship required due to systems access

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for Data and Transformation is a MUST!
  • Experience with AGILE teams and/or JIRA products
  • Experience with ATLASSIAN or Confluence
  • Experience with product/service implementation and/or deployment
  • Familiar with data and analytics
  • Coursework in data structures, software development, databases
  • Ability to work in virtual, collaborative, team-based environment
