Position Summary: We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Datahub team, a critical Data Warehouse and Authorized Data Source (ADS) for Deals within GCIB. Built on Oracle, IDMC Informatica, Python, and Java, Datahub plays a key role in delivering high-quality, sustainable data solutions. This role focuses on designing and implementing complex data solutions that meet bank standards for ADS compliance while applying strong architectural principles to ensure scalability and maintainability As a Data Engineer, you will lead efforts to develop and deliver robust data solutions that enable faster, data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to define requirements, build scalable data pipelines, and ensure the integrity and sustainability of the ADS. This role requires proficiency in data engineering practices, architectural patterns, and hands-on coding. This job is responsible for driving efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Key responsibilities include leading code design and delivery tasks with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytical data systems. Job expectations include liaising with vendors and working with stakeholders and Product and Software Engineering teams to implement data requirements, analyzing performance, and researching and troubleshooting issues within system engineering domains.

Requirements

10+ years of Job related experience required .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to articulate technical designs to non-technical audiences.
Strong understanding of SDLC and data engineering best practices.
Proven experience in data modeling and architectural patterns.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java.
Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
Experience with IDMC Informatica for data integration and management.
Experience building data pipelines and working with large datasets.
Knowledge of Deal lifecycle processes.
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with MicroStrategy.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation tools.

Responsibilities

Leads story refinement and delivery of requirements through the delivery lifecycle and assists team members in resolving technical complexities
Codes complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data, builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management, assembles complex data sets, and communicates required information for deployment
Leads documentation of system requirements, collaborates with development teams to understand data requirements and feasibility, and leverages architectural components to develop client requirements
Leads testing teams to develop test plans, contributes to existing test suites including integration, regression, and performance, analyzes test reports, identifies test issues and errors, and leads triage of underlying causes
Leads work efforts with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data management standards adherence, negotiates paths forward by thinking outside the box to identify and communicate solutions to complex problems, and leverages knowledge of information systems, techniques, and processes
Leads complex information technology projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to release processes and risk management and defines and builds data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making
Mentors Data Engineers to enable continuous development and monitors key performance indicators and internal controls
Lead efforts to develop, integrate and deliver complex data solutions aligned with business and technology goals.
Design and implement data integration, cleaning, transformation, and control processes for operational and analytics systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
Assemble complex and multiple datasets meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
Design and build solutions for data provisioning that ensure ADS sustainability and compliance with enterprise standards. This includes creating scalable, reusable frameworks for data delivery while maintaining integrity, security, and long-term maintainability.
Contribute to story refinement, requirement definition, and work estimation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Utilize multiple architectural components and patterns in solution design.
Perform design/code reviews and assist in resolving technical complexities.
Develop and maintain test suites (integration, regression, performance) and analyze test results.
Document and communicate deployment, maintenance, and support information.
Monitor key performance indicators ensure internal controls for data transport and provisioning.
Identify gaps in data management standards and work with partners to close them.
Lead concept and experimentation testing to validate and improve analytical solutions.
Mentor junior Data Engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and automation
