About The Position

The Data Engineer II is responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge of all internal and external data sources used by Monument Health. These engineers will use this knowledge along with an understanding of the organizations strategic priorities to manage, design, optimize, oversee, and monitor of data retrieval, storage, and transformation via data pipelines to support the delivery of structured and ad-hoc analytics to the organization. Responsibilities

  • Directs end-to-end data pipeline development for on-time delivery of high-quality data solutions that meet the requirements of all applicable standards.
  • Identifies needs, designs, and implements solutions that are automated, scalable, and sustainable while minimizing defects and technical debt.
  • Proactively finds opportunities for data acquisition to enrich our data environment.
  • Actively participates in data engineering team code reviews and offer recommendations regarding data architecture.
  • Maintains awareness of security policies and procedures to ensure appropriate physical access, system access, and data integrity.
  • Engages in knowledge sharing and the mentoring of other data engineers.
  • Supports and troubleshoots highly complicated analytical applications and data/automation reliability issues.
  • Proactively researches new data acquisition opportunities to enhance the data environment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
