Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related filed.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (HER) systems.
- Working knowledge of Medi-Cal and/or third-party billing and reimbursement.
- Knowledge of billing requirements and collection regulations for Federal, State, and local agencies and third-party submissions.
Responsibilities
- gathering, reviewing, and approving internal billing claims
- setup, verification and updating insurance account information
- verifying eligibility
- preparing related billing claims data reports
- coordinates Medical billing claims submission via electronic data interface (EDI)
- functions as liaison with LA County- Dept. of Mental Health (LAC-DMH) and Medi-Cal
- tracks and monitors billing claims and approval
- provides monthly report analysis to Department Director assists in preparation for year-end final reports.
- Responsible for coordinating activities related to Electronic Health care (HER) application including user training, maintenance, application enhancement, develops new reports, and problem solving
- functions as liaison with software vendor and lead trainer.
