About The Position

The Data Center Technician is a key member of the operations team, responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing data center hardware and infrastructure. This role requires hands-on technical skills, the ability to work independently, and strong collaboration within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in the hyperscaler space, liquid cooling, and AI/ML type hosts, particularly GPU-based systems.
  • Strong networking knowledge (OSI layers 1-3, TCP/UDP, DHCP handshake, subnetting) and hands-on hardware experience, especially with home labs or GPU architecture.
  • 2-3+ years of prior IT related experience with previous Data Center/Cabling exp.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be willing to commute out to the areas of Boardman, Umatilla and Hermiston, OR
  • 2 years of experience working with server hardware

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve server and hardware infrastructure issues
  • Install, maintain, and replace server and storage hardware
  • Perform basic network and system troubleshooting (TCP/IP, Linux)
  • Document work and manage tasks through a ticketing system
  • Follow detailed instructions, security protocols, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and share technical knowledge
  • Accept feedback and adapt performance as needed
