Our work depends on Data Center Ops Engineer joining our team to support Government activities, solve complex IT issues and provide exceptional customer service. HOW DATA CENTER OPERATIONS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Manage, maintain, troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues within the datacenter. Install and maintain data center server hardware, including storage blocks, servers, patch panels, switches, routers, and other large scale networking gear. Familiarity with Linux command line to assist with troubleshooting and configuration. Participate in on-call rotation to get to the datacenter during off hours. Participate in disaster recovery mock drills and procedures. Provide cleared escort as needed to personnel who need access for maintenance, inspection, and other needs. Light shipping and receiving. Eligible for relocation. Eligible for a sign on bonus. The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Requirements
- Bachelors (Computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline)
- 8+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience in working with computer systems and computer networks, specifically with the Linux operating system
- Ability to do physical work (lift servers, network switches, boxes, etc.)
- Any 8140 certification, or must be willing to obtain and maintain
- TS/SCI with active polygraph
Nice To Haves
- Experience with field-based work in POPs and datacenters
