Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in Data Center operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in direct-to-chip liquid cooling, including system design, installation, operation, and maintenance. Experience in HPC or Liquid cooling site operations.
  • Proven experience with chemistry management for PG-25 or similar coolants.
  • Strong background in leak detection technologies, incident response, and remediation strategies.
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs for complex mechanical systems.
  • Skilled in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and system documentation.
  • Experience with BMS, SCADA and DCIM systems; along with their field installed telemetry data for cause-and-effect determination.
  • Customer-facing experience, with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, and leading technical teams.
  • Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for the data center and AI industries.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or Certified Mission Critical Operator (CMCO) credentialed.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, ASHRAE, and International Mechanical Code standards.
  • Experience with vendor management and multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the reliability and performance of direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems in data center environments, Capture and maintain industry best practices.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs) for liquid cooling systems.
  • Coordinate with field leaders and Mechanical SMEs/Chief Engineers to understand root cause analysis (RCA) for system events, faults, and issues, particularly relating to leak detection and remediation and update best practices and operational models.
  • Define best practices for management and monitor of chemistry (PG-25 coolant), ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Mentor and train facilities and commissioning engineers, delivering both field and classroom instruction on liquid cooling fundamentals and best practices.
  • Serve as a customer-facing technical expert, delivering presentations, leading site visits, and supporting solution planning and development.
  • Foster a strong team culture, encouraging collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Travel to customer sites and prospects for planning, development, troubleshooting, and presentations as required.
