This is an exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing site, in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. The facility will utilize the latest technology to increase the company's manufacturing capacity in parenteral (injectable) medications, device assembly and packaging operations. The Lilly Kenosha site will leverage use of high-tech equipment, advanced highly integrated and automated manufacturing systems, and have a focus on minimizing the impact to our environment. As Data Architect you will be responsible for defining, designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture vision, strategy, and principles for the Kenosha Manufacturing Site. Define standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modelling, transforming, and searching all data within the enterprise or a business function. Data architect has deep working knowledge of how data is or will be used and implications on people, processes, capabilities, and technologies including analytics and data integrations. This role requires skills such as data modelling, data warehousing, data integration, data governance and an understanding of data security, data standards, and cloud architecture principles. Data architects work closely with data producers, information management, data engineers, and data consumers. Key Objectives/Deliverables: Data/Information Vision and Strategy includes the ability to work with business to identify future uses for Lilly data and anticipated business results and enable processes to support these needs. Data Planning/Modelling and Data Lifecycle Design includes the ability to develop a technical strategy for future data structure and data integration. Develop and provide expertise in enterprise data domains; this includes data relationships, data quality, understanding of business data needs and the associated technology toolsets and methodologies. Develop understanding how the enterprise data strategies, platforms, and technologies enable business execution. Use this knowledge to appropriately challenge status quo and drive business and Tech at Lilly collaborations. Analyze data from multiple domains; discover trends and associations, synthesize new integration constructs that assist non-expert users to find similar trends and associations. Facilitate efficient and scalable data exchange between Lilly and its external partners using industry standards and data integration methodologies. Use cutting edge information technologies to organize and analyze data. Extend publicly available data sets, ontologies, and taxonomies for internal Lilly use. Continuously scan the technology environment for new trends and techniques; interface with external consultants and thought leaders as needed. Synthesize new scalable approaches for Lilly data integration; derive the supporting arguments, communicate, and articulate the reasons for the new approaches to fellow engineers as well as senior management.
