About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our fully remote team in the United States. This individual will be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing our data architecture to support current and future business needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern data platforms, working with data from various SaaS applications, and ensuring seamless data flow to our analytics and customer-facing platforms.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience: Proven experience (10+ years) as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or in a similar role focusing on large-scale data systems.
  • Data Ecosystem Expertise: Deep understanding of modern data warehousing, data lake concepts, and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • SaaS Integration: Direct experience extracting, processing, and integrating data from a variety of SaaS platforms via APIs, webhooks, or integration tools.
  • Analytics Tools: Demonstrated ability to architect data structures that serve BI and visualization tools, with experience supporting users on Tableau and Looker a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, PHP, etc). Experience with ETL/ELT tools and techniques.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
  • Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Data Lake Design and Management: Design, implement, and maintain the cloud-based data lake infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Data Ingestion and Transformation: Develop and manage robust data pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform data from numerous third-party SaaS applications into the data lake.
  • Analytics Enablement: Partner with analytics and business intelligence teams to create data models and structures optimized for reporting and analysis.
  • Customer Platform Integration: Ensure reliable and performant connectivity between the data lake and visualization tools, specifically Tableau, Looker, and other external customer-facing platforms.
  • Standards and Governance: Establish and enforce data governance, security, quality, and integrity standards across the data platform.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and capabilities of the data architecture.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
