About The Position

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implement Enterprise Architecture:
Develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy using Microsoft Azure.
Design data models, database schemas, and data warehouses to support business needs.
Ensure data architecture aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Data Management:
Oversee data integration, data migration, and data quality initiatives.
Implement and manage data governance policies and procedures.
Monitor and optimize data systems for performance and scalability.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.
Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure project milestones are met.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications.
Present data architecture plans and progress to executive teams.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., PII, GDPR, HIPAA).
Implement data privacy measures and access controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solution Architect, etc
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in custom developed applications, data architecture and data management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Experience building Azure Functions and Logic Apps
• Experience with deploying solutions using automated Azure DevOps pipelines
• Experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and big data technologies.
• Data Modeling (e.g. Enterprise Data Warehouses, Star Schemas, etc)
• Data Science
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Master’s degree preferred.
