Summer 2026 Data and Evaluation Intern

Generation HopeWashington, DC
Hybrid

About The Position

The Data and Evaluation Intern is responsible for supporting the integrity, organization, analysis, and strategic use of data across Generation Hope’s direct services programs. This role goes beyond data maintenance to help drive program improvement through thoughtful evaluation, quality improvement reviews, and clear, actionable reporting. The Data and Evaluation Intern will work closely with the Vice President of Family Programming and collaborate with staff across the Family Programming team to ensure data is not only accurate, but meaningful and actionable. Interns will gain hands-on experience in program evaluation, learning how data informs decision-making, strengthens program quality, and drives organizational strategy. In addition to core responsibilities, the intern will have the opportunity to design and implement a self-directed project aligned with their interests. This could include building new tracking tools, improving data systems, conducting deeper analysis on program outcomes, or contributing to evaluation frameworks. Candidates are expected to participate in this internship at least 20 hours per week for at least 13 weeks. Candidates who can volunteer additional time are preferable. You will receive an incentive of $3000 for your participation in the internship program. This incentive is intended to support costs you may incur during your internship at Generation Hope, such as childcare. Internships begin May 2026 to August 2026, with some flexibility on starting and ending dates. This intern will be in-person at the Generation Hope office on Mondays, and the internship will be otherwise remote. Interns who have some availability on evenings and weekends to support events are preferred. Interns must be located in the Washington, DC metro area during the time of the internship.
