About The Position

Results for America (RFA) helps government leaders find, fund, and implement solutions that work to accelerate upward economic mobility and improve lives. We work with federal, state, and local government decision-makers to increase their use of evidence and data in budget, policy, and program decisions. RFA’s 2026 summer internship program will run for approximately 10 weeks, from Tuesday June 2 - Friday, August 7, 2026. Over the course of this internship, all interns will be immersed in RFA’s programmatic and policy work by supporting one of RFA's teams in achieving their strategic goals. Interns will work on various projects during their time at RFA, while also enjoying a range of learning and professional development opportunities. Interns will work virtually and will be expected to use their own laptop equipment. Interns will be assigned RFA email addresses for the duration of their summer internship. The Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team at Results for America focuses on building the tools, systems and capabilities of our teams to use data and evidence to improve their programs and RFA’s overall impact. We work to design and implement effective measurement systems, evaluate program outcomes, and facilitate continuous learning. By ensuring that decisions are grounded in rigorous data and analysis, the MEL team supports better outcomes, aiming to drive measurable impact and promote more effective program implementation. historically underserved populations — not just improve aggregate numbers.

Requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Proficiency with GoogleSuite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Alignment with Results for America’s mission and vision
  • Qualitative data analysis
  • Quantitative data analysis (descriptive required, predictive preferred, Desk review and/or policy analysis)
  • Data Entry
  • Summer Intern applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • RFA is not able to sponsor or otherwise support employment authorization in the United States, including F-1 student visas, now or in the future, for this internship position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data entry and cleaning in Salesforce and maintain “lives impacted” data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including assessing impact data-and analyzing downstream outcomes of evidence-based investments
  • Support correlational and predictive analytics to identify trends and inform decision-making
  • Assess RFA "”Proof Points” and answer key research and evaluation questions tied to RFA’s 2023–2026 strategic plan and scale goals
  • Conduct analysis of RFA’s implementation data to examine how outcomes vary across different populations and contexts
  • Retrieve and analyze local-level “cradle-to-career” data for select org scale plan areas
