About The Position

As a key member of the SAN Analytics & Intelligence (SAI) Team, the Analyst, Data & Business Analytics will support the SAI Manager in delivering automated reporting, demand forecasting, and commercial intelligence across all SAN commercial functions, including Sales, Forecasting, Procurement, Supply Chain, Transportation, Manufacturing, Finance, and Customer Service. This position plays a critical role in eliminating the shadow spreadsheet system, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring that real-time dashboards and intelligence reports are accurate, timely, and actionable. This role will work closely with the SAI Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain and expand the SAI reporting suite, support ERP data validation efforts, and assist in the automation of workflows that drive efficiency and commercial execution across the SAN business.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Business Analytics and Intelligence required.
  • Advanced skills in database, ERP, SQL, and Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Supply Chain, Statistics, or another relevant business discipline or 4 years of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data automation tools a plus.
  • Preference for animal nutrition, pet food, and/or high-velocity consumer packaged goods background.
  • Working knowledge of commercial, demand planning, procurement, or supply chain functions strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and Expand the SAI Reporting Suite. Assist the SAI Manager in building, maintaining, and enhancing Tableau dashboards and automated intelligence reports across SAN commercial functions. Ensure data refreshes are functioning correctly and reports are delivering accurate, real-time visibility into sales performance, forecast accuracy, purchase orders, inventory positions, production schedules, and customer service metrics. Manage a queue of reporting requests, supporting prioritization and timely delivery.
  • Support ERP Data Validation and Master Data Integrity. Work alongside the SAI Manager and IT to verify that master data is being properly captured, extracted, and made accessible from the ERP system. Assist in pressure-testing ERP data prior to go-live and identifying discrepancies. Support the deployment of post-go-live intelligence reports and contribute to the documentation of processes for replication across other Simmons divisions.
  • Assist in Workflow Automation and Continuous Improvement. Support the identification and automation of manual workflows across the SAN team. Assist in reducing manual data entries, improved data processes, and tooling. Identify opportunities to eliminate redundant spreadsheet-based processes and propose solutions that improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams. Work closely with stakeholders across Sales, Demand Forecasting, Procurement, Supply Chain, Transportation, Manufacturing, Finance, and Customer Service to understand reporting needs and ensure deliverables meet their requirements. Serve as a responsive and reliable point of contact for data and reporting requests within the SAI Team.
  • Support Data Governance Practices. Assist in implementing and maintaining best practices for data generation, storage, accuracy, and consumption within SAN. Help ensure consistency and alignment between data sources and contribute to the organization's broader standardization goals. Escalate data quality issues to the SAI Manager and IT as appropriate.
  • Participate as a Member of the Team. Participate in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attend appropriate team meetings. Actively look for ways to contribute to team goals and support a collaborative, high-performance culture within the SAI Team and broader SAN organization.
  • Simmons Operating Systems Principles and Objectives. Maintain familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN), including an understanding of this position's role in supporting these systems and a responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
