About The Position

The Data and Analytics Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for enterprise data strategy, analytics innovation, and data governance at ICHS, a Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) Epic Community Technology partner. This role leads the development of an integrated data ecosystem that supports clinical, operational, and financial decision-making across the organization. The Director will drive the creation and optimization of data infrastructure, enterprise data warehouse, ETL, oversees analytics platform modernization, and manages data governance frameworks that ensure data quality, security, and standardization. This leader also mentors and develops a team of novice and intermediate reporting analysts, and data specialists—advancing their technical skills, analytical thinking, and understanding of PSJH Epic Community Technology reporting tools. The Director partners closely with clinical and administrative leaders to deliver actionable insights that drive health equity, performance improvement, and organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Engineering, or related field Master’s degree preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in data analytics, informatics or data engineering roles.
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience, leading analytics, reporting or data engineering teams.
  • Epic Clarity, Caboodle and/or Data Models proficiency/accreditation/certification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Epic data tools such as Clinical Data Models & Access Data Models, specifically with Clarity & Caboodle, Rev Cycle, and Epic Ambulatory.
  • Proven experience developing and executing enterprise data strategy.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing an enterprise data warehouse and associated data architecture.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, MS Fabric) is highly desired.
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health or similar safety-net healthcare environment.
  • Must demonstrate a “growth mindset,” and willingness to learn Snowflake or MS Fabric to support ICHS’s strategic data roadmap.
