About The Position

IntelliTech is seeking a Data & AI Architecture Leader to drive enterprise, business, and data/AI architecture for a future-state federal grants ecosystem supporting HHS and partner agencies. This role will define and govern architecture frameworks, develop reference architectures and patterns, shape core business capabilities and target operating models, and lead the design of the HHS grants data model, semantic layer, and AI inference architecture—ensuring interoperability, cybersecurity alignment, modernization consistency, and trustworthy AI implementation. You will work across stakeholders spanning Grants.gov, GrantSolutions, TAGGS, modernization vendors, and DIS directorates to ensure designs remain aligned to enterprise vision, roadmap, and budget constraints—while demonstrating practical innovation through proof-of-concepts using OneGrants Cloud data.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or data architecture.
  • Experience establishing architecture frameworks, governance, and standards.
  • Strong reference architecture and design standards development experience.
  • Proven business capability modeling and product/service architecture leadership.
  • Hands-on understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, and analytics architectures.
  • Experience designing or guiding AI/ML architecture components.
  • Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with federal grants systems (Grants.gov, GrantSolutions, TAGGS, or similar).
  • Familiarity with federal data interoperability, zero trust, and trustworthy AI practices.
  • Experience with cloud environments, APIs, event-driven architectures.
  • Experience defining modernization roadmaps under budget constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise & Technical Architecture Governance Define and govern the enterprise and technical architecture framework for the future-state grants ecosystem. Establish architecture review processes (architecture boards, design gates) and ensure adoption across teams and partners.
  • Reference Architectures, Patterns, and Standards Develop and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and solution standards. Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, modernization priorities, and enterprise governance.
  • Business Capability & Product Architecture Leadership Define core grants business capabilities, capability maps, and product/service decomposition. Translate mission needs into modular, configurable services and target operating models.
  • Data Model, Semantic Layer, and AI Inference Architecture Design and oversee the HHS grants data model and semantic layer. Define AI inference architecture supporting analytics and automation aligned with Federal Data & AI Strategy and trustworthy AI principles.
  • Innovation Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) Develop PoCs using OneGrants Cloud data to demonstrate AI-enabled automation and analytics. Communicate PoC outcomes clearly to government stakeholders.
  • Cross-Vendor Architectural Oversight & Advisory Provide architectural oversight across modernization vendors and DIS directorates. Identify risks, integration gaps, and propose mitigation plans.
