MEC is seeking a motivated Data & Analytics Intern to support our analytics and reporting initiatives. This role is ideal for a student who is eager to gain hands‑on experience working with enterprise data, building insights, and learning modern analytics tools. The intern will collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to help turn data into actionable insights. Hybrid Internship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Summer 2026

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Basic working knowledge of SQL (writing SELECT statements, joins, filters, aggregations)
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

• Experience building dashboards or reports in Power BI
• Exposure to Copilot or other AI‑assisted analytics tools
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (tables, relationships, measures)
• Experience working with large or complex datasets
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in analytics or reporting

Responsibilities

• Use SQL to query, validate, and analyze data from enterprise data sources.
• Develop and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision‑making.
• Assist in gathering business requirements and translating them into data and reporting solutions.
• Leverage Copilot and other AI‑assisted tools to accelerate data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• Document data definitions, report logic, and analytical findings.
• Collaborate with analytics team members on ongoing projects and ad‑hoc analysis requests.
• Learn and follow data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
