Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship. The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and/or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027. Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in Boston, MA or New York City. • The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location. As a Data and Analytics intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of how Santander's Consumer and Business Banking strategy leverages data-driven insights within Retail Banking and Transformation. You will gain direct experience working with the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (DA-CoE) to design and apply forecasting models that drive smarter business decisions.

Requirements

  • A graduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
  • Area of Study: Data Science, Economics, Finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
  • Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
  • Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently on special projects.
  • Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience in forecasting, econometrics, or data modeling. (Preferred)
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for presentations. (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with coding languages such as Python and SQL for data analysis and automation. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting data engineering and automation efforts to ensure high-quality, integrated datasets for forecasting and analysis.
  • Applying predictive modeling and statistical techniques to improve customer targeting and acquisition efficiency.
  • Developing visual dashboards and reports to communicate insights to senior stakeholders and inform strategic decision-making.
