About The Position

The Data Analytics & AI Intern/Analyst will support the Information Technology Department in developing data visualizations, analytics solutions, and workflow enhancements across the organization’s portfolio of databases, systems, and cloud platforms. This role will leverage modern AI tools to improve analysis efficiency, automate tasks, and generate actionable insights that support business decision‑making.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Informatics , or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience with data analysis tools, techniques, and platforms.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot , or similar tools for analysis and productivity.
• Understanding of general accounting concepts and experience working with financial datasets.

Nice To Haves

• Application development experience using Microsoft .NET , Excel macros, Power Apps , and APIs.
• Reporting/dashboarding experience with SAP Crystal Reports, IBM Cognos, SSRS, Power BI .
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T‑SQL development.
• Familiarity with Quickbase .
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools and data analysis platforms.
• Understanding of prompt engineering concepts for effective AI utilization.

Responsibilities

• Work with information, process, and subject‑matter experts to develop datasets, data visualizations, and analytical applications using AI‑powered tools.
• Leverage AI platforms and assistants to support data querying, code development, documentation, and analysis tasks.
• Explore and evaluate emerging AI tools to identify opportunities for improving analytics workflows and reporting.
• Maintain relationships with consultants and application vendors for databases, reporting, data integration, and related services.
• Continue professional development through ongoing learning, including staying current on AI and machine learning advancements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Information Technology leadership.
