About The Position

As a member of the Capco Technology Delivery Team, you'll bring practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and engineering best practices. As a Data Analyst, you'll play an integral role: using your experience and skills to contribute to the quality and implementation of our solutions for our customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in financial services or another data-intensive industry.
  • Proven expertise in data profiling, validation, and analysis using advanced SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Mart concepts (conceptual understanding sufficient; not a developer role).
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business users and present findings with clarity.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively identify issues or improvement areas.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Domain knowledge in Housing Finance/Mortgage sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to work in our McLean, VA office 5 days / week.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather, understand, and translate data requirements into actionable insights.
  • Perform detailed data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across multiple sources.
  • Analyze and document data flows from data-producing systems into downstream data warehouses, marts, and analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with ETL and data engineering teams to validate data transformations and business rules at a conceptual level.
  • Use SQL and Snowflake to extract, explore, and validate datasets to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support data governance and quality initiatives by identifying anomalies and recommending corrective actions.
