About The Position

Data Analyst The Opportunity: As data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to further investigative case work. As a client-facing data analyst on our national security team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact by helping the client detect anomalies, suspicious behavior, or otherwise prudent information to further investigations. How You’ll Contribute: As a data analyst on our team, you’ll:

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience using analytical tools, such as Splunk
  • Knowledge of major operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think analytically and critically
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Associate's degree and 6+ years of experience in data analytics, modeling, web technologies, network security, or telecommunications, Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in data analytics, modeling, web technologies, network security, or telecommunications or 8+ years of experience in data analytics, modeling, web technologies, network security, or telecommunications in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting investigative cases or digital forensics
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Experience with reverse engineering or geospatial analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Possession of excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze ad-tech telemetry data to uncover trends and connections.
  • Develop investigative leads by linking data patterns to online activity.
  • Present clear, concise reports and briefings.
  • Validate analytical processes and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Use statistical and analytical tools to interpret large datasets.
  • Work with us to help drive large-scale business and process decisions through data insights.

  • Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
  • The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
