About The Position

Mujin is shaping the future of industrial robotic systems in production and distribution environments. Our technology gives robots perception and awareness, enabling them to perform advanced tasks in complex, real-world operations. Mujin’s mission is to expand the practical use of robotics to free human resources from repetitive, labor-intensive work and enable greater focus on higher-value problem solving. Mujin is currently seeking a Data Analyst for our Solutions Engineering team. This person will serve as the analytical backbone in the Solutions Engineering organization. This role is primarily responsible for analyzing customer operational datasets and translating real-world production behavior into clear, quantitative requirements that inform automated system design. The output of this work directly impacts system sizing, solution architecture, risk identification, and commercial accuracy across complex opportunities. This role will work closely with Solutions Engineers, Sales, Product, and other internal teams to ensure data-driven decisions are made efficiently, consistently, and transparently. Position Descriptions Obtain, clean, and analyze customer operational and production datasets to quantify throughput requirements, product mix, variability, and operational constraints across multiple discrete process flows. Translate customer data into clear, defensible automation requirements that inform system capabilities, equipment selection, and overall solution architecture. Work directly with customers and internal teams to identify automation requirements, validate assumptions, and procure or clarify supporting data. Synthesize complex and noisy datasets into concise insights and recommendations, clearly explaining both conclusions and underlying assumptions to internal and external stakeholders. Support Solutions Engineers by providing analytical input such as throughput modeling, scenario analysis, assumption validation, and early-stage risk identification. Assist in evaluating solution designs based on cost, value, functional performance, requirements of coverage, and technical or operational risk. Assist in the preparation and presentation of customer proposals in a clear, structured, and technically credible manner. Develop, improve, and maintain analytical tools, templates, and data structures that improve consistency, speed, and quality of solution development across the Solutions organization. Manage and contribute to multiple active opportunities simultaneously while maintaining clarity, organization, and follow-through. When not engaged in Engineering Design Studies, the role supports solution concept development. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a data-centric or systems-oriented discipline such as Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Statistics, or similar (or equivalent practical experience). 5+ years of experience in an analytics-heavy role within manufacturing, logistics, automation, or industrial systems, with demonstrated success Strong experience working with SQL and/or Python for data analysis. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and MS Project or similar. Demonstrated ability to work with noisy, incomplete, or imperfect datasets and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to validate assumptions or flag critical data gaps. Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly reliable, responsive, and organized, with the ability to self-manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a solutions-focused team. What will set you Apart. Experience with throughput modeling, capacity analysis, scenario analysis, or discrete-event simulation. Experience supporting automation feasibility studies, early-phase solution definition, or capital justification efforts. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. Strong domain knowledge of Warehouse, Parcel, Automotive, and 3PL operations. Understanding of automation technologies commonly used in the logistics industry Physical Demands & Work Environment Travel requirement: Less than 10% (domestic). Ability to work extended hours as required to support project deadlines. Periodic warehouse and industrial environment exposure. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This Position Description is intended to describe the essential job functions, the general supplemental functions, and the essential requirements for the performance of this job. It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of all supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements.
