About The Position

Reporting to the Data Manager, the Data Analyst plays a key role in maintaining and improving clinical and operational quality within the organization by sharing data with key stakeholders. The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering data from multiple sources, including our Electronic Health Record, department-specific software, and external benchmarking sources, and synthesizing this data into user-friendly visuals containing actionable information. The Data Analyst produces reports for all levels of staff, the PACE-RI Board, and external stakeholders. It is expected that this role will have excellent people skills and be able to train colleagues to pull simple reports for real-time usage. The Data Analyst collaborates with the Data Manager to ensure the seamless and secure flow of information within the organization, guaranteeing timely access and delivery of data.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel; ability to produce graphs and data driven reports.
  • Proficiency with Python.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI.
  • Ability to research and analyze data, draw conclusions, and resolve issues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain sound judgement under stress and communicate effectively.
  • Dependable and punctual with ability to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's Degree, Required
  • Driver's License & access to reliable transportation: community-based travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 3 years of data analytics experience, Preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of EMR/EHR experience, Preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of Health Care Industry Experience, Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use tools like Excel, SQL, or Python/R to summarize datasets, identify trends, and generate descriptive statistics.
  • Collect, organize, and clean raw data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency before analysis.
  • Build dashboards and reports to present findings in a clear, visual way for stakeholders.
  • Document methodology and data sources used to create dashboards, reports, and analytics in written Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging data analytics tools, technologies, and best practices, to utilize in work. Share relevant learnings with the team to help improve processes and adopt innovative approaches.
  • Assists Quality department in identifying and reporting on data points for QI initiatives.
  • Ensures timely and accurate submission of data through the HPMS Federal system, National PACE Association, State reports, and others as needed.
  • Develops EMR expertise to create custom reports, and research information on organization-wide initiatives.
  • Engages in survey preparation for any State and Federal agency by providing support in data collection, analysis, and explanation.
  • Participates in research and recommends additional or replacement new data systems/source vendors.
  • Collaborates with CEO and Finance department as needed to gather data for strategic planning needs, rate setting, and to contribute to analysis of business cases.
  • Troubleshoots data-related problems and performs data audits to ensure and improve data integrity; investigates and resolves data discrepancies.
  • Trains staff on basic reporting functions to enable them to produce information efficiently and accurately.
  • Develops a structure with staff to collect departmental information that is necessary to complete regulatorily required reports.
  • Manages data projects by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and documentation.
  • Provides analytical and technical input to data governance and reporting policy development.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
