About The Position

This Data Analyst role involves collaborating with Product and Analytics teams to inform product strategy and roadmap through exploratory and descriptive analytics, providing ad-hoc analyses that uncover root causes of business trends. The position requires understanding data infrastructure and coordinating with Data Engineering to deliver data models. Key responsibilities include assisting in the design of data models, establishing product data standards, developing measurement plans and dashboards, supporting engineering in consumer event tagging, and ensuring optimization and validation initiatives are implemented and reviewed. The role also involves shaping, exploring, and publishing data using core Business Intelligence tools.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience in using data and analytics to drive decisions and insights.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with MixPanel or Google Analytics.
  • Experience with custom event tracking and querying Redshift or other column store data stress such as Netezza, Greenplum, Teredata, Verticetc, or similar.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools such as Google Search Console, Adwords, Marin, Google DoubleClick stack, Tealium, or similar.
  • Experience with eCommerce experimental testing and testing platforms such as Optimizely, Google Optimize, or similar.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field.
  • Experience with JavaScript tag management.
  • Experience with programmatic media.
  • Experience with structured and semi-structured data.
  • Experience with Python Analytics/Viz packages.
  • Experience with R-Studio.
  • Experience with Data Mining tools such as RapidMiner, Opera, ProM, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product and Analytics teams to use a combination of exploratory and descriptive analytics to inform product strategy and roadmap, and provide ad-hoc analyses that uncover root cause of recent business trends.
  • Understand data infrastructure and coordinate with Data Engineering to deliver data models and structures to meet business demands.
  • Assist in the design of relevant data models, including outlining dimensions and measures needed, for answering business questions.
  • Establish and implement product data standards and best practices in order to optimize the data collection, fidelity and accuracy. Develop product measurement plans and dashboards to monitor metrics and KPIs.
  • Support Engineering in deploying and documenting consumer event tagging in all applications.
  • Ensure optimization and validations initiatives are implemented, tracked and reviewed postproduction.
  • Shape, explore and publish data for business analysis or stakeholder initiatives using core Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.
