Keenan has an exciting career opportunity for a Data Analyst. The Data Analyst is responsible for all data tasks related to the implementation and ongoing support of Keenan’s proprietary benefits eligibility management systems. This includes data mapping, auditing, reconciliation, and import for the preparation of electronic carrier data transmittals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred or equivalent work experience of a minimum of two (2) years in a data analyst role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A self-motivated and organized work style is essential.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred proficiency in SQL, Python/R, Tableau and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze policy, claims, and financial data to support underwriting and client reporting.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop custom reports and dashboards.
  • Use SQL, Power BI, and Excel for data extraction and visualization.
  • Analyze treaty data and ensure accurate coding of claims.
  • Work with the finance and underwriting teams on modeling and forecasting losses.
  • Develop reports to track premium, loss ratios, and other KPIs for P&C portfolios.
  • Collaborate with IT to optimize claims & underwriting data systems and tools.
  • Analyze historical underwriting data to identify trends and improve pricing strategies.
  • Automate data extraction and reporting processes for underwriting teams.
  • Support actuarial teams with data preparation and validation for pricing and reserving models.
  • Other duties as assigned.
