About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Data Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. This role is responsible for partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to design, build, and deliver high-quality data solutions that support business needs. The individual will work throughout the full lifecycle—from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, testing, and troubleshooting—ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability of data assets. The role requires strong analytical thinking, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, particularly within a cloud-based data environment.

Requirements

  • Strong collaboration skills with Product Owners, business partners, BAs, developers, and testing teams
  • 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis and translating business needs into technical data solutions
  • Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
  • Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases and data modeling concepts
  • Hands-on experience performing data analysis, root cause analysis, and deep data troubleshooting
  • Experience designing, reviewing, and validating data solutions with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with testing practices, data reconciliation, and quality assurance processes
  • Strong programming experience in Python and SAS
  • Experience working within an AWS cloud environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical

  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry is highly preferred and considered a strong advantage
