As a Data Analyst within our Customer Experience (CX) team, you will play a vital role in helping BuildOps customers achieve success by transforming their data into actionable insights. This is a hybrid role that combines report development, data onboarding, and customer-facing analysis. Working closely with the Implementation, Data Analytics, and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering customized reports, supporting data onboarding efforts, and guiding customers through the successful adoption of their reporting and analytics workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, report writing, or a similar role, preferably in a Customer Success or SaaS environment.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Basic understanding of SQL as it relates to ETL
  • Hands-on experience in Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse environments.
  • Strong active listening and communication skills in customer-facing settings.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems (such as JIRA) for task management and prioritization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Implementation, and Product teams.
  • Self-directed, curious, and proactive mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in construction, trades, ERP systems, or field service industries is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Customer Success, Support, & Implementation teams to understand customer reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, and deliver customized reports and dashboards using tools such as Sigma Computing.
  • Work with CSMs and Product to build “Best Practice Reporting Packages” that can be deployed to specific types of client (based on size, trade, department structure, etc.)
  • Analyze customer data to uncover trends, provide actionable insights, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all reports are accurate, timely, and effectively communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on progress and ensure a tailored solution for maximum impact.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of standardized and customized reporting templates for efficiency and consistency.
  • Partner with internal technical teams to address data gaps, improve data quality, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to provide customer feedback on Reporting usability and/or functionality gaps
  • Continuously optimize reporting processes to improve turnaround times and the value provided to customers.
  • Present insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  • Support the data onboarding process by working directly with customers and project team to import and validate customer data, ensuring accuracy and resolving data quality issues.
  • Collaborate via JIRA intake queues to manage tickets related to both reporting and data onboarding.
  • Work with internal Engineering and Analytics teams to escalate issues or uncover bugs in customer data.
  • Advise customers on how to transition from legacy systems and communicate required data deliverables.
  • Actively participate in customer calls to listen, present insights, and help guide reporting setup and onboarding success.
  • Engage Engineering to enhance and update internal onboarding tools based on recurring needs, customer feedback, and implementation challenges.
