The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is one of the world's largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGO), at work in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. A force for humanity, IRC employees deliver lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions. If you're a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future. External Relations Department The External Relations (ER) department was created in February 2020 and is comprised of 3 main but complementary functional areas: Private fundraising, Communications and Advocacy. The ER department is at the beginning stages of creating a radical and ambitious global strategy that will enhance IRC’s ability to ‘punch above its weight’ in private income, advocacy, and brand awareness. The main objective of the department is to enable this organization of more than 12,000 staff to have the resources needed to continue serving 18 million people worldwide in places affected by war and disaster, shape the humanitarian sector by influencing key policies and reforms, and build and grow IRC’s reputation. Global Analytics Team This role sits within the Global Analytics team, a team of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers, who support fundraising efforts with data, analysis and reporting. The team is split into two pillars: Analytics Engineering & BI (focussed on data engineering and business intelligence); and Global Analytics (focussed on custom analysis, experimentation, and machine learning). You can expect to work across both pillars on a range of analysis and BI projects. You will report into the Associate Director, Global Analytics. Job Overview: We are looking for an analytical and curious Data Analyst to join our team, focusing on marketing, financial and behavioral insights. As a Data Analyst within our Global Analytics team, you will work closely with senior analysts, learning from their expertise while supporting data-driven insights for our fundraising efforts across the globe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their analytics career to develop their skills through hands-on project work and mentorship from experienced team members. Part of this role involves working with the Korea team, acting as a key link between the analytics function (based across the UK and US) and Korea-based colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your stakeholder engagement and communication skills while contributing to a key market. You will also work with broader cross-functional teams, including fundraising, marketing, and finance, to deliver actionable insights that enhance donor engagement and maximize fundraising outcomes.
