About The Position

A data analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data to help a business make informed decisions and improve performance. Core responsibilities Gather data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, and internal systems, then ensure its accuracy and completeness before analysis. Clean, transform, and organize large datasets to remove errors, handle missing values, and standardize formats. Analyze data using statistical methods and queries to identify patterns, trends, and correlations linked to key business metrics. Reporting and visualization Build dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to present insights in a clear, visual way. Create regular performance reports and ad hoc analyses for stakeholders, highlighting actionable insights and opportunities for improvement. Communicate complex findings in simple language so non-technical teams can understand and act on recommendations. Data quality and systems Maintain and update databases or data systems, including writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data. Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement checks or processes to keep data accurate and reliable. Support data governance and compliance by following policies on data privacy, security, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in SQL and at least one analytical tool or language such as Excel, Python, or R.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and basic statistical concepts.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and good communication skills to work with stakeholders across business functions.
