About The Position

BankWest is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role involves collecting, cleaning, and analyzing financial and operational data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. The analyst will work closely with various departments to develop standardized reporting and dashboards that enhance business performance and support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.
  • Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.
  • Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
  • BankWest is a "Sales Organization" and all employees are expected to participate directly or indirectly with increasing BankWest's presence in their markets as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with departments to understand business needs and develop data governance strategies.
  • Collect data from internal and external sources; manage and maintain databases and data warehouse systems.
  • Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Apply statistical techniques to analyze complex datasets and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Design and deliver reports, visualizations, and dashboards for stakeholders and executive management.
  • Interpret data to support strategic planning, product development, and performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal privacy standards and internal data security policies.
  • Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
  • Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of the BankWest organization.
  • Attend and actively participate in training offered.
  • Community involvement is strongly encouraged.
  • Other duties as assigned.
