About The Position

Parker & Sons is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join their team of creative and energetic employees, dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience. This role requires a strong emphasis on Domo and Power BI to provide trusted, actionable reporting across the organization. The Data Analyst will be responsible for ad hoc analysis and building automated, scalable reporting solutions using Power Query, Power Automate, SQL, APIs, and data integrations. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, business-minded, and capable of owning reporting from intake through delivery and ongoing support. Parker & Sons has been serving homeowners and businesses for over 50 years since 1974, providing expert heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical services. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence, reporting, or data analyst role (or equivalent experience).
  • Expert-level experience with Power BI and Power Query (advanced transformations, shaping, and troubleshooting).
  • Expert-level experience with Power Automate (building workflows, integrations, notifications, and automation logic).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Domo (dashboards, reporting, data preparation/transformations, connectors).
  • Advanced SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions preferred; query optimization).
  • Experience with data integration including use of APIs (REST concepts, authentication, JSON/CSV formats).
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, and data handling).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to turn ambiguous requests into accurate, repeatable deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI: DAX measures and data model optimization; familiarity with semantic-layer concepts.
  • Domo: Magic ETL, DataFlows, and calculated metrics (Beast Modes or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting operations reporting for trades, construction, home services, or multi-site field operations.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices (standard metric definitions, documentation, change control).

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Business Intelligence dashboards and automated reporting in Domo and Power BI.
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis to support leadership and operational decision-making.
  • Translate business questions into well-defined KPIs, dashboards, and repeatable reports with clear definitions and assumptions.
  • Improve reporting usability through strong visual design, drilldowns, filters, and stakeholder-friendly layouts.
  • Develop and maintain advanced Power Query transformations (data shaping, cleansing, merging, and modeling-ready outputs).
  • Build and support Power Automate workflows to automate reporting processes, refresh notifications, exception alerts, and cross-system tasks.
  • Create standardized, repeatable reporting workflows that reduce manual effort and improve speed and consistency.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data across multiple relational databases.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy with strong data validation, reconciliation, and documentation practices.
  • Own automated refresh schedules, monitoring, and troubleshooting for Domo and Power BI reporting.
  • Integrate data across systems using connectors, scheduled pipelines, file-based transfers, and APIs.
  • Support ETL/ELT-style workflows by preparing data for reliable downstream reporting and automation.
  • Document data sources, transformations, definitions, and refresh logic to ensure auditability and continuity.
  • Partner with leaders across operations, finance, and field teams to prioritize reporting needs and deliver clear outcomes.
  • Communicate findings clearly and recommend actions based on trends, exceptions, and opportunities.
  • Support adoption by guiding stakeholders on how to interpret dashboards and metrics.
