About The Position

Progressive Community Health Centers, established in 1999, is an independent non-profit organization operating four clinic locations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With over 100 employees, the agency is dedicated to improving community health and quality of life by providing culturally competent services. They offer high-quality, comprehensive care to approximately 16,000 low-income patients annually, ensuring access to care regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Services include family medicine, internal medicine, women's health, urgent care, dental, radiology, integrated behavioral health, case management, health education, and benefits enrollment. The Data Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, validating, and maintaining high-quality reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions that support clinical, operational, and strategic decision-making. This role involves close collaboration with subject-matter experts, leadership, and technical teams to translate business needs into accurate and actionable insights. Key activities include SQL development, Epic-based reporting, data validation and quality review, performance optimization, and the maintenance of a governed report library. The analyst also provides end-user support, documentation, and training to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and well-understood across PCHC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field OR an associate degree with 3 to 5 years of related healthcare analytics experience
  • Mandatory vaccination for all employees, employed providers and volunteers; proof of vaccination required prior to orientation

Responsibilities

  • Provides reliable data support and analytical insights that assist departments and leadership in making informed operational and strategic decisions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain reports and dashboards using appropriate tools (Reporting Workbench, Business Objects, Slicer Dicer, Crystal Reports, Power BI)
  • Translate reporting requirements into high quality solutions; modify existing reports to meet evolving organizational needs
  • Follow organizational governance for report development and maintenance
  • Uphold PCHC values, safety, and confidentiality standards
  • Perform analytical assessments, to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality concerns; document and resolve issues
  • Optimize SQL queries and report logic for performance and scalability
  • Support clinical, operational, access, dental, financial, and quality reporting cycles
  • Collaborate with IT and HIT teams to ensure data accuracy and system stability
  • Provide end-user training, documentation and job aids
  • Conduct data validation, regression testing, and functional checks for OCHIN-released reports to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Review database content for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Maintain the health and wellbeing of our reporting database by doing routine data scrubbing
  • Maintain the report library with version control and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
