About The Position

This Insurance Data Analyst contractor role supports a high-impact transition to RisKonnect by analyzing, validating, and preparing critical insurance data for system configuration and reporting. You’ll work hands-on with complex datasets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data migration and the smooth adoption of a new risk management platform. LOCATION : Portland, OR SALARY : $55-70/hr. Requirements

  • Strong experience analyzing insurance data, including claims, policies, exposures, and loss history, preferably within a risk management or insurance systems environment
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data cleansing, reconciliation, and validation techniques for large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data quality assessments, identify inconsistencies or gaps, and prepare structured datasets for system migration or integration
  • Experience working with system implementations or data migrations (Riskonnect or similar risk management platforms preferred) and supporting user acceptance testing
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced implementation setting

Responsibilities

  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze insurance data from claims, policies, exposures, and historical loss records to support Riskonnect system configuration and reporting
  • Perform comprehensive data validation and quality checks, identifying and resolving inconsistencies, gaps, and errors prior to migration
  • Transform, cleanse, and audit large datasets using advanced Excel techniques (complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation tools) to meet RisKonnect data mapping and upload requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Riskonnect implementation team to ensure accurate data migration and provide analytical support during user acceptance testing
  • Document data sources, transformation logic, and processes to support knowledge transfer and successful adoption of the new platform
