About The Position

Maintenance Optimization and Tech Improvement Data Analyst Major Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) that support the effectiveness of daily track inspections, track maintenance activities and mentoring based on the current and ongoing business processes as they evolve for the Infrastructure Department utilizing but not limited to WMATA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) databases and supporting applications integration within the Infrastructure environment and applications across the Authority. Mentor WMATA Infrastructure Management Staff as requested by the Maintenance Optimization and Technology Improvements (MOTI) Director/MOTI Management Team on the use and reporting features of the Superuser level Maximo EAM system and supporting applications. Comply with WMATA ethics and integrity rules and policies related to intellectual property use and distribution. Background and Experience Required Must have at minimum five (5) years of rail experience, with a minimum of one (1) year track inspection and maintenance related program analysis experience; Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration, management, information technology, or degree in a related field from an accredited university; Experience with track conditions and defects in accordance with TRST-1000 Track Maintenance and Inspection Standards and WMATA Design Criteria; Demonstrable experience creating and writing reports clearly and, utilizing PowerBI to create dashboards to visually and succinctly convey information from the reports; Superuser level Maximo expertise with SQL developer skillset capable of writing and supporting background query development to support performance measuring activities; Must be capable of installing, configuring and troubleshooting database connection software such as Oracle SQL Developer; requires extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with database concepts such as selects, conditional logic, joins, data types, data optimization and integrity pertaining to backend query development; extensive track inspection experience and data collection analysis and monitoring; demonstrated experience to coordinate with IT staff to support system integration activities relative to the various systems which support track inspection data recording and compliance; also must be capable of developing and implementing Job Plans and Preventive Maintenance programs within the EAM system based on business plan requirements; Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with existing systems used to support current methods of recording and reporting on track inspections, track defects, and other MOW metrics in the WMATA environment, these systems include MaxTrax mobile application and desktop versions; and Subject Matter Expert (SME) level Maximo user skills relative to the MOW business plans and processes; Must be capable of supporting Infrastructures performance group with the development and ongoing review of all WMATA supported performance specific tools such as Cognos, Maximo, MaxTrax, Optram and specific programs related to key performance; Must be proficient at developing dashboards and reports relative to the various systems which support track inspection data recording and compliance; Requires extensive knowledge of user interface (UI) development and design to include industry standard customer experience (CX) best practices; Requires extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with KPI development in the Maximo environment pertaining to MOW data recording and compliance; Demonstrable organization, verbal and written communication skills; and Proficiency with Microsoft 365 all applications, specifically SharePoint

Requirements
