Data Analyst, Specialist (B&I Analytics)
About The Position
Vanguard's Brokerage & Investments (B&I) Analytics team is growing in support of our new product, Cash! The B&I Analytics team supports Personal Investor's Brokerage & Investments business. This analyst will partner closely with the Cash business to uncover insights and will help to shape the strategy that drives better cash product adoption. The analyst will be responsible for a range of analytical tasks including ownership of KPI reporting all the way through advanced analyses (drivers analyses, development of data-driven strategies to influence business strategies, forecasting, client segmentation modeling etc.) The ideal candidate has: A deep understanding of or interest to learn about the Brokerage & Investments business and PI product offerings Strong technical skill set (SQL, Python and Tableau preferred) Experience with PI enterprise Data Desire & ability to collaborate closely with our business partners to consult & gather requirements Experience in building resilient reporting products (e.g. dashboards) Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver actionable data stories (e.g decks) to business partner motivating data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Python, SQL and Tableau experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced analytics (e.g. predictive modeling, forecasting, clustering) experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and supports projects through completion.
- Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
- Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using analytical methods.
- Prepares and delivers visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
- May own and manage recurring analytic or reporting processes.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
