About The Position
As data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to support the Navy supporting Fleet readiness. As a client-facing data analyst on our Navy Supply Chain Operations team, you'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, you'll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on education, resources, trainings, and policies to ensure Sailors receive proper awareness to form career-forwarding decisions. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- Experience with presenting data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, using databases and scripting languages
- Experience with preparing customer data for models, including merging and aggregating data, handling anomalies, balancing, and feature selection
- Experience with establishing quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes
- Experience applying data visualization through different formats, such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides
- Ability to research, develop, and test data methodologies
- Ability to support client and stakeholder relationships, conceptualize directions, analyze trends, and develop justifications for Navy leadership decisions
- Ability to contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making by applying communications, validation, and research to simplify technical requirements and trends for varied audiences
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED

- Knowledge of building and maintaining workflows, visualizations, and other Premium Microsoft Services databases in the Microsoft enclaves and ADVANA, Jupiter, or BOLT enclave, including Databricks, Qlik, and Tableau
