Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of total experience in Data Analysis field.
  • Experience in Banking and financial domain preferred.
  • Proficient in analytics programming languages (SQL/R/Python) and automation tasks is essential
  • Demonstrated understanding of data profiling, statistical analysis and data modeling concepts
  • Proficient in extracting and leveraging data out of data warehouse, transactional databases, object stores & API based environments
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Ability to embrace change, adapt to the unexpected, and focus energies, people, and solutions on practical and positive results
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to influence others using data and logic
  • Ability to effectively mentor others
  • Aptitude and drive to learn new technologies and analysis techniques
  • Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization.
  • Must be extremely proficient in Data Warehouse ETL Design/Architecture, dimensional/relational data modelling.
  • Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
  • Data warehouse experience with knowledge of SQL and the ability to query cloud relational databases like Snowflake or Redshift is a MUST.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Coalesce/dbt is an added advantage for this job.
  • Data Vault 2.0 (hubs satellite links) experience will be a PLUS.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct moderately complex data profiling and analysis to evaluate data sources to determine the best source for business information
  • Collaborate with data engineers to perform data validation and testing activities as appropriate
  • Works directly with internal customers to refine requirements and validate output to ensure solutions will meet expectations and deliver actionable insights through data analysis
  • Advanced database knowledge; creating/optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, partitioning data, indexing, and reading execution plans
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python and VBA for data manipulation and analysis tasks
  • Participate in project management activities using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Expert level of understanding and implementing ETL architecture; data profiling, process flow, metric logging, and error handling
  • Document processes, workflows, and system designs using Visio to facilitate understanding across teams.
  • Multi-task across several ongoing projects and daily duties of varying priorities as required
