About The Position

ASRC Federal's Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) offers undergraduate college students the chance to apply their technological interests and knowledge to exciting real-world missions. We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern to support our government customer in Moorestown, NJ. This role is a temporary, hybrid position. Work location:  Hybrid with an opportunity to work onsite in an office setting located in Moorestown, NJ. Local intern candidates preferred.  Relocation assistance, housing, or stipends are not provided. Security: Must be a US Citizen to successfully complete a government issued background investigation to access to customer site (must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years). Program dates:  10-week summer internship, June 1 - August 6, 2026 Hours:   32 hours per week Summary: This opportunity is a research and development effort to support the modernization of legacy code with AI. You will be working with a small research team to determine the if an API can be leveraged to update legacy Navy code or other forms of AI to modernize the systems. Interns will work closely with dedicated mentors and managers, fostering meaningful connections within our company while exploring a range of technology disciplines. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects developed by our tech experts. While extensive work experience is not required, a commitment to learning and a genuine passion for emerging technological advancements are essential.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Computer Science or Data Science
  • Must be a current junior, senior or graduate student in college at the time of application.
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX-like Operating Systems (i.e., Linux, Solaris, IRIX) and operating system administration (i.e., Red Hat Enterprise / CentOS Linux)
  • Coursework in areas including software development, object-oriented analysis and design, Python, Java, C/C++
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with Docker
  • Understanding and practical knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and strong understanding of AI.
  • Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation
  • Persistent and hard-working and enthusiastic outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen to successfully complete a government issued background investigation to access to customer site (must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with publish/subscribe architectures such as DDS; CI/CD/DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins.
  • Agile systems and/or bug tracking systems such as Atlassian Jira.
  • Data analysis skills
  • Basic understanding of requirements tracking systems such as DOORS, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience in cyber security and/or systems/software integration.
  • General understanding of the Aegis Weapon System, its related systems, other real-time mission critical systems, or other weapons systems are pluses.
