We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to help support a variety of projects that will range in scale and complexity. This is a full-time internship that is expected to start in May/June 2026. You'll work alongside a team of Business Intelligence Analysts, contributing directly to projects that optimize systems, improve efficiency, and support key business goals. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate daily with business and IT professionals, building your personal and technical skills as you gain exposure to the fast-paced, data-driven world of analytics at CHS. You must be able to commute to the headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, MN as this person will work a Hybrid schedule (3-4 days in the office).

Requirements

  • Currently a junior or senior enrolled in Business Analytics, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain, or related degree.
  • Training/Experience with Microsoft suite of tools – e.g. Teams, Outlook, Excel, Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • Experience with Data visualization tools – e.g. Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer focus, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated with confirmed leadership abilities, presentation skills, and ability to function in a team-oriented environment with resource and time constraints.
  • A passion for customers, analytics, and product quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Training/Experience with database management technologies in the data analytics context
  • Training/Experience with DAX and SQL
  • Technical writing skills & coding skills in languages such as Python, Spark or R
  • Training/Experience in data science areas, such as time series analysis and forecasting.
  • Training/Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • Training/Experience in Lean and Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Communicate insights and findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Retrieve data from different sources (Snowflake, databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Clean, transform, and integrate data to create a unified dataset for analysis.
  • Perform individual and business testing to ensure dataset accuracy.
  • Design and build interactive dashboards/reports using tools such as Power BI and Dataiku.
  • Ensure that visualizations are user-friendly and provide meaningful insights.
  • Document data models, and BI solutions for future reference and maintenance.
  • Regularly update and maintain existing BI solutions as per business requirements.
