About The Position

The Data Analyst II supports the Community Food Bank (CFB) by managing and improving data systems that inform decision-making, compliance, and mission impact. This role designs, maintains, and integrates key data platforms ensuring accurate, accessible, and secure data across the organization. The Data Analyst II work includes database administration, business intelligence reporting, and data system integration. The position collaborates with multiple departments to improve workflows, build dashboards, and promote data-driven practices. All work is conducted with a social equity lens that ensures data accurately reflects and represents the communities we serve. Performs after-hours or weekend maintenance and responds to network emergencies as required.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in duties that include business data recovery, analysis, query design, reporting and statistical analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or a related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • For company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age; possess a current Arizona Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
  • Knowledge of data systems, business processes, and reporting methods that support mission alignment and program effectiveness.
  • Skilled in data analysis, visualization, and performance measurement.
  • Skills in balancing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage and integrate multiple data platforms, including Salesforce, Primarius P2, Link2Feed, and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, and automated workflows that enhance access to data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Analytical and able to set and measure goals and results.
  • Strong time and management skills, long range planning.
  • Ability to work without a high-level of direction.

  • Salesforce: User administration, reports, dashboards, workflows, and system integrations.
  • Primarius P2: Manage agency and product modules; develop and export reports for operations and compliance.
  • Link2Feed: Create and automate reports; manage data quality and API integrations for cross-system synchronization.
  • Microsoft Excel: Advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and dashboard design.
  • Microsoft Power BI: Build dashboards and visual reports integrating multiple data sources; manage Power BI Gateway connections.
  • Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive): Facilitate document collaboration, secure data storage, and version control.
  • Microsoft Azure: Familiarity with Azure Active Directory for identity management, Azure Data Services for cloud data storage and integration, and Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation.
  • Power Automate / PowerApps: Create automated workflows and connect systems for efficient data management.
  • SQL: Query, clean, and validate data; understand relational database structures and joins.
  • API & Integration Tools: Maintain and support data connections and system integrations between Salesforce, P2, Link2Feed, and Power BI.
  • Data Governance: Apply standards for accuracy, access control, privacy, and data retention; maintain change logs and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of project management experience.
  • Experience working or volunteering at a nonprofit and/or food bank.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and implementation of a data and knowledge management infrastructure across the organization.
  • Develops and maintains protocols for data integrity, transparency, and visibility.
  • Serves as the primary administrator for Salesforce, Primarius P2, and Link2Feed, ensuring system reliability, user access, and data security. Identifies vendors, tools, and integrations that strengthen data collection and reporting for programs, operations, and grant-funded projects.
  • Builds, maintains, and automates reports and dashboards that align with key performance indicators and grant reporting requirements.
  • Manages and documents Link2Feed reporting and API data pulls for compliance, performance tracking, and system synchronization.
  • Collaborates with internal departments, external partners, and consultants to advance data systems and identify opportunities for process improvement. Builds strong working relationships with internal leaders and external partners to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensures that confidential and personally identifiable information is processed according to CFB and regulatory data security guidelines. Maintains data governance standards and ensures alignment with Feeding America, USDA, and CFB policies.
  • Designs and supports CFB’s reporting environment, including data sources, normalization, validation, and metadata documentation.
  • Provides one-on-one and group training for staff on reports, dashboards, and database use.
  • Collaborates with IT, Operations, Programs, and Finance to align reporting needs, improve workflows, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Develops process documentation and SOPs that support consistency, transparency, and user understanding.
  • Supports organization-wide planning and digital transformation initiatives, including automation, workflow optimization, and system integrations.
  • Participates in professional development and continuous improvement efforts to advance data literacy and technology adoption across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
