About The Position

The Data Analyst II is responsible for conducting both standard reporting and more complex ad hoc analyses that require independent judgment, analytical rigor, and adaptability. The analyst works closely in partnership with business partners to understand objectives and then defines analytical approaches, including designing datasets and dashboards, determining appropriate methodologies, and selecting the appropriate analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Snowflake. Ad hoc work frequently involves synthesizing large datasets, assessing trends, and developing insights to present to stakeholders that inform operational decisions and business strategy. The role also supports data governance by proactively identifying and resolving inconsistencies in metric calculations or reporting, collaborating with technical and operational teams, and contributing to the development or enhancement of new metrics, reports, or analytical standards.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 2+years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience (MS/MA and up to 2 yrs experience) OR 6 years of experience with HS Diploma
  • Experienced with excel, including use of pivot tables and formulas used to analyze data.
  • Experience using reporting tools like Tableau or PowerBI to design reports or conduct analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Snowflake, SQL, or Python.
  • Preferred Experience using Snowflake, SQL, or Python to gather, analyze, and report on data

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with assigned business partners or functional area to:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to clarify objectives, anticipate information needs, and independently define analytical approaches that support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Develops strong understanding of business objectives and priorities as well as key challenges to inform analysis and proactive KPI monitoring
  • Investigate current and historical business data to uncover trends, explain variances, and identify meaningful opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and track key performance metrics by applying sound analytical judgment and ensuring consistency with business goals and established standards.
  • Design, build, and deliver recurring and ad‑hoc reporting with precision, proactively validating data quality and resolving discrepancies with minimal oversight.
  • Create intuitive dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting interfaces that enhance stakeholder understanding and accelerate decision‑making.
  • Produces standard reporting and periodic reports by applying accepted metrics, methods, and tools
  • Create and distributes both routine and ad-hoc reports
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports
  • Applies increasingly advanced analytical methods—such as descriptive statistics, correlations, or comparative trend analysis—to address complex questions and refine recommendations.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles, industry practices, and standards
  • Primarily supports a specific area of the business (Operations, Verification, BPO, Client Success, etc) with opportunities to cross-train but may support a larger working team or projects across departments
  • Effectively applies functional, process, procedural or technical imagination to address business challenges and uses innovative solutions to enhance personal work
  • Troubleshoots reporting and data issues, independently diagnosing root causes and collaborating with partners to implement corrective actions.
  • Determines when to escalate vs. resolve issues independently
  • Conducts ad‑hoc analysis by defining hypotheses, designing datasets, selecting methodologies, and distilling insights into clear recommendations that influence business outcomes.
  • Maintains and improves metric definitions and reporting logic, proactively identifying inconsistencies and initiating governance updates to strengthen data accuracy and alignment.
  • Mentors entry‑level analysts by sharing best practices, offering analytical guidance, and contributing expertise to cross‑functional projects.
