About the role This role requires strong SQL skills and intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency to extract, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will bring familiarity with Python, R, SAS, or similar tools to support deeper analytical work, as well as beginner to intermediate experience with Power BI or Tableau. Other valuable skills for Trustmark’s technology stack include Databricks, Microsoft Azure, and VS Code. Responsible for using data to answer business questions, and quantify business problems and opportunities. Identifies and profiles good sources of data and leverages them to produce high quality, easy to digest analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2 - 4 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 4-6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data across a variety of business domains to answer questions, support decision making, and provide operational and analytical reporting.
  • Learn, navigate, and profile multiple data sources, including raw administrative systems, and data lakes.
  • Validate query logic and troubleshoot issues such as duplicate records, missing records, incorrect joins, and unexpected aggregation results.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and analyses based on requirements that may need clarification, iteration, and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to business stakeholders, adjusting terminology and detail level as needed to ensure comprehension.
