About The Position

The Data Business Analyst II is responsible for conducting full lifecycle analysis, including researching, collecting, analyzing, reporting, and interpreting data to guide business decisions. They will also monitor performance and quality‑control plans to identify improvements within Strategic Partners business division. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Majors in BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Management, or Statistics preferred
  • Must have 5+ years of related experience in data/research analysis.
  • Must have experience in business reporting/business intelligence environments
  • Must have strong data analytical skills and the ability to identify and analyze complex patterns, data integration and data quality
  • Must be adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
  • Must have excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Must be able to self-lead and complete work with minimal guidance
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Power BI, Microsoft SQL, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in applied research or data management is preferred
  • Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Use analytical skills to collect, interpret data, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Serve as the intelligence engine behind operational KPIs such as conversion, retention, partner‑funnel velocity, API usage, error rates, and workflow performance.
  • Build reusable dashboards aligned to enterprise metrics-driven leadership expectations
  • Analyze how users/partners move through workflows; identify where journeys break
  • Create predictive signals that alert the business to partner friction before results slip (e.g., delays, API failures, underwriting issues)
  • Perform exploratory analysis to understand processes, cross‑functional interactions, and improvement opportunities to influence personalization of the customer experience.
  • Use critical thinking and analysis capabilities to drive conclusions based on data findings
  • Manipulate large, complex data sets from multiple sources into manageable, understandable reports within common visualization programs and platforms such as Excel and Power BI
  • Apply technical expertise to data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Guide leadership and team members in interpreting data and testing hypotheses to support decision‑making and goal setting.
  • Lead and execute projects to completion
