About The Position

Responsible for the development of financial reporting regarding the value of the client’s health and welfare initiatives. This role also provides support to the actuarial/underwriting/data analytics department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One (1) or more years related work experience
  • Technical understanding of data structure, data mining and reporting processes
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Underwriting experience
  • Prior experience with SQL

Responsibilities

  • Creates reporting to analyze results of Care Management and Wellness initiatives
  • Collects, analyzes and interprets health care data
  • Leads plan design modeling analysis efforts
  • Directs underwriting relationships with vendor underwriters
  • Oversees and coordinates efficient work flow between actuaries and account managers
  • Provides reporting from data warehouse
  • Coordinates a variety of special projects such as benchmarking using data warehoused information
  • Provides support to underwriting/actuarial department
  • Supports financial consultants with various benefit issues and projects
  • Engages in optimal and appropriate usage of applicable agency management systems
  • Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates
  • Performs other duties as assigned
