Data Analyst, Clinical Studies Position Summary: Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm 100% on-site (San Diego) Catalent, Inc. is a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), and Our purpose-built San Diego location provides comprehensive clinical supply services including clinical supply management, primary and secondary packaging, complex labeling services, clinical storage, distribution, and clinical returns and destruction, and will also include stability chambers. The Data Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis to Operations leaders. Responsibilities include but is not limited to revenue tracking, identify and resolve discrepancies between contracts and billed work, review routers/JDE hours and client billing, strategic tracking of quotes won, order general supplies, administrative duties, and metric tracking. This position will be 50% data analytics, and 50% front desk administrative support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of data analysis experience with an overall understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • 3+ years direct hands-on administrative experience.
  • Must be dependable and punctual, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong PowerBI skills preferred.
  • JD Edwards or comparable ERP systems preferred.
  • Must be able to interact with current management staff.
  • Role involves frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs., as well as occasional kneeling and reaching.
  • Work may include occasional exposure to cold environments (refrigerator 35°F–46°F, freezer -4°F), humidity, wet conditions, noise, hazards, and temperature changes.

Responsibilities

  • Support production scheduling and revenue tracking through detailed analysis and close partnership with the Scheduling team.
  • Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., OTP, RTR), track BR status, and drive follow‑up actions to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Review service‑level activities and ensure accurate billing, documentation, and tracking of operational opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Scheduling to track quotes won and support high‑level contract execution activities.
  • Conduct operational trending, analytics, and reporting; translate insights into recommended actions for Operations leadership.
  • Develop and format PowerPoint presentations and perform advanced Excel and PowerBI reporting to support business needs.
  • Provide ad‑hoc data analysis and analytical support for the Operations leadership team.
  • Serve as the primary front-office representative—greeting visitors, answering calls, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating conference room usage.
  • Manage daily office operations, including supplies, equipment coordination, catering, event support, shipping/receiving, and occasional travel arrangements.
  • Support HR and Talent Acquisition through interview scheduling, candidate travel coordination, onboarding activities, and monthly corporate card reconciliation.
  • Other duties as assigned
