Data Analyst, Applications
About The Position
We are looking for a Data Application Analyst who will function as a project lead for our supply chain, operations, sales, finance and executive team with insights gained from analyzing Novolex data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets from multiple systems to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have experience using a variety of data analysis methods, using a variety of digital transformation tools, building and implementing machine learning automated solutions. They must have a proven ability to drive cost avoidance initiatives. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for innovation, process automation and overall digital transformation.
Requirements
- Experience transforming large amounts of data
- Experience with Microsoft Power Bi is required
- Experience with developing Power Bi semantic models is required
- Experience with Microsoft SQL server
- Python experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics or related field
- 5 plus years of Data Analyst experience required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data visualization software like Tableau is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps is a plus
- Experience with RPA tools like Automation Anywhere and/or Power Automate is a plus
- Experience with SAP/Hana is a plus
- Experience with AI deployment is a plus
- Comfortable with leading projects and working both autonomously and in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Develop digital solutions that address unmet needs, provide new insights or identify opportunities for growth
- Utilize digital solutions to enable more effective strategic, tactical and operational insights to support business functions
- Extract big data and transform it into actionable information for users by using the data visualization software Tableau
- Determine best methods to extract, model, manipulate, and present data that meets the requirements of the business
- Assist in the identification of opportunities across functional areas where the application of improved data would create value for the user
- Support Digital Transformation leadership with the development of digital reporting and tracking solutions for major company initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with groups such as IT, Finance, Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Assist in the development and coding of statistical computer languages in Python/R
- Assist in the creation and documentation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects aimed at process improvement
- Assist in the development and coding of RPA solutions using the platform Automation Anywhere
