Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news. As the b, you will be the technical architect of our revenue truth. Sitting within the Data & AI workstream, you will lead the integration of our CRM and Traffic systems into a unified Revenue Semantic Layer in Snowflake. A core component of this role involves managing and evolving our custom Master Data Application built on Salesforce, ensuring that data flowing from Wide Orbit and our CRM remains clean, socialized, and actionable for the entire Sales organization.

Requirements

  • Experience: Approx. 5 years in revenue analytics or analytics engineering within the media industry.
  • System Expertise: Significant experience with Salesforce data structures and Wide Orbit (Traffic/Network/Sellers) data outputs.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL (Snowflake) and expert-level dbt skills. High proficiency in Tableau Cloud.
  • Communication: Proven ability to "socialize" data and manage master data hygiene across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Master Data Stewardship: Manage, socialize, and evolve our proprietary Master Data Application (Salesforce-based). Ensure account hierarchies, advertiser mapping, and agency relationships are synchronized across all platforms.
  • System Integration: Use dbt to model and join complex data sets from Salesforce (CRM) and Wide Orbit (Traffic/Media Sales) into Snowflake.
  • Semantic Modeling: Maintain the "Single Source of Truth" for revenue metrics, ensuring that a "booked" dollar in Wide Orbit matches the "closed-won" opportunity in Salesforce.
  • End-to-End Analytics: Build Tableau Cloud dashboards that track the full sales lifecycle—from pipeline health in Salesforce to execution and pacing in Wide Orbit.
  • Yield & Inventory Optimization: Analyze fill rates and sell-through levels to help the Yield team maximize the value of every spot and impression.
  • Requirement Engineering: Partner with Ad Ops, Finance, and Sales leadership to translate business needs into technical user stories.
  • Application Evangelism: Act as the primary advocate for our Master Data Application, training business users on its importance and gathering feedback for its continuous evolution.
  • Cross-Functional Training: "Socialize" unified revenue data across departments, ensuring Sales and Finance are aligned on definitions for net vs. gross revenue.
