Data Analysis Associate
About The Position
The Human Resources (HR) People Analytics & Data Strategy team sets HR strategy, manages HR deliverables, fosters integration between HR organizations to create synergy, and provides data analysis and visualization to support mission delivery. We are looking for a skilled Data Visualization Specialist to help our team continue to interpret data and translate it into a clear and compelling visual format. The Data Visualization Specialist will work with HR organizational leaders to collect, analyze, and interpret large scale data to create a story of our business and actionable data outputs. You will partner with business and mission area stakeholders to analyze company human resource data to develop and execute strategic initiatives. In this role, you will acquire data, clean and organize it for analysis, analyze the data to identify trends and patterns, and create visuals that can drive business decisions. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. They should have a talent for taking complex information and turning it into easily-understood visuals that can drive data-based decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or
- Master's degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven work experience as a Data Visualization Specialist or similar role
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint, or similar
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, and/or Microsoft Access
- Excel skill level needed: Advanced to Expert
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex data in a clear manner
- Detail-oriented with a critical eye for the accuracy of data and attention to detail
- Ability to meet rigorous deliverable schedules
- Experience with programming complex and compound formulas to execute logical calculations and create data compilations
Responsibilities
- Work with data analysts to interpret and understand data requirements
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools
- Ensure that all data visualization deliverables meet quality standards and business needs
- Perform detailed data analysis and create clear, compelling, and innovative visual presentations
- Collaborate with different teams to collect, process, and clean data for visualization purposes
- Identify trends and patterns in data and provide insights to stakeholders
- Maintain and improve existing data visualization tools and dashboards
- Develop training materials and provide training to staff on data visualization tools and best practices
