About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Dari AND Pashto language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. What You’ll Get to Do: This role will enable you to utilize both your linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including but not limited to: technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either lead or be part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.

Requirements

• Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Education Required: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the Specific HLT field)
• Testing requirements: Approved testing, translation and speaking, listening and reading
• Years of related experience: 15 years
• Language and level required: Dari (SENIOR) Pashtu (Senior)
• Must posses computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web
• Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
• Tool Familiarity: Microsoft Office tools & Applications is required
• Powerpoint is required

Nice To Haves

• 4 years of HLT-related experience such as Java, Python, HTML highly desired
• US immigration experience is highly desired

Responsibilities

• Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
• Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
• Interpretation: Able to interpret accurately. The ability to consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required. Has a good understanding of one of more regional dialects.
• Transcription: Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression.
• Candidate needs to posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
• Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts Web.
• Must posses computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web
• Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
