About The Position

Addresses all hazardous and non-hazardous spills including their clean-up during all operating hours in compliance with FedEx Express policies and procedures and OSHA regulations. Supports the communication and training needs of employees regarding dangerous goods shipments Ensures proper handling. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Six (6) months experience as a trained dangerous goods specialist.
  • Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training for dangerous goods and spill clean-up.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. And ability to maneuver any package weighing above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
  • Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

  • Must be able to complete all required trainings.
